Pella’s Police Department is in the process of filling a patrol officer’s position. Communications Supervisor Marcia Slycord tells KNIA/KRLS News that the department received 38 applications for the position, and are inviting 25 to 27 of those applicants back next week.
On Wednesday, the candidates will have to perform physical and cognitive testing, and those who pass may be submitted to the City Council for further approval. The position was vacated earlier this year by patrol officer Eric Hoffman, who had accepted a job with the Department of Natural Resources.
