Pella Christian hopes to keep their momentum rolling tonight, and lock themselves into the post season with a win when they host Colfax Mingo.

The Eagles enter tonight in a three way tie for second in Class 2A District eight. They are still alive for a possible district title with a little help, but a win tonight will guarantee them of a top four finish in the district, and if they win their final three games, they’ll finish no worse than second.

Colfax Mingo comes is 2-2 in the district and is just one game behind that log jam for second and will be playing with some confidence knowing that if they win out they will make the post season. Eagles coach Rich Kacmarynski says Colfax Mingo does have some talent, but he says his guys know what needs to be done and he feels confident they’ll answer the challenge.

The Eagles have won their last three games by lopsided margins and have a lot of momentum on their side right now as they are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in district play.
