The third annual Coaches vs. Cancer Fundraiser at Knoxville High School will be February Fifth when the Panthers play Carlisle. Girls Coach Jim Utiermarkt and wife Angie have been planning for this season’s event right after last season’s was finished. Coach Utiermarkt says most of what they did last season from the silent auction to honoring two survivors will continue this season. However, one thing that is different is an alumni basketball game that afternoon. Utiermarkt says having the event on a Saturday give everyone more time to get ready, and he hopes will give more people an opportunity to attend.
