The first half was back and forth but entering the final quarter the Pleasantville girls looked to have control with a 34-22 lead. Sometimes looks can be deceiving.A furious 4th quarter comeback by host school Wayne resulted in an overtime period that saw Pleasantville pull away for a 51-42 Pride of Iowa Conference victory. Kaitlyn Friday had a great offensive game with 20 points including four three point goals and Maddie Harken came off the bench for eight important points, including the first five in overtime for the Trojans. Konner Gordon also finished in double figures for Pleasantville with 10. The tide turned for the Trojans when Wayne’s leading scorer Hannah Lain, who ended with 27 points, 16 of them in final quarter, fouled out near the end of regulation. With the victory Pleasantville improves to 10-5 overall and 6-4 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.
