The Knoxville boys were as close as they have been in recent games to breaking a long and frustrating losing streak…but still could bot close the deal in a 56-46 loss in overtime to Carlisle last night. The Panthers had the ball in the closing seconds but Jamie VanderVeer’s three rimmed out as time expired with the game tied at 46. Coach Clint Driftmier said they were ready for overtime…but the extra session never worked out. Carlisle then came out in the extra session and outscored the Panthers ten/nothing. Lance Daugherty had a strong game in the post with 17 points. Knoxville falls to 3-15 on the season and will travel to Norwalk on Tuesday.
