The second game between Pella and Pella Christian basketball teams is upon us, with much at stake for both the girls and boys. Both Pella and Pella Christian girls and boys still have conference title hopes.

In the girl’s conference, South Tama remains #1, while the Lady Dutch are a half-game back of the Trojans. The Lady Eagles are a full-game behind South Tama. (South Tama will host Pella on Thursday)

The first time around, Pella went into Pella Christian High School and pulled out a 9 point win (52-43). Since that game, Pella Christian has ripped off 9 straight wins. Pella, too, has a 9 game winning streak, dating back to that game in Pella Christian.

In the boy’s conference, Pella, Pella Christian and Norwalk are in the heat of the race, tied for the conference lead. All three teams are 9-2 in conference action. (Pella Christian hosts Norwalk on Thursday).

In their first meeting at Pella Christian, the Little Dutch got the win by a final score of 60-44. The Eagles have went on to win 9 straight since that loss, including a pair of overtime wins versus Oskaloosa. Pella has compiled a 5-2 record since that game, with losses to PCM on the road, and Oskaloosa at home.

Tonight is Coaches versus Cancer night at Pella High School, as the teams and fans alike, work to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Dollars for Scholars will be hosting a soup supper prior to the games to raise money for local scholarships.

You can hear both these games live on 92.1FM KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com. Join Eric Grillaert and Eric Gotschall for the pregame show starting at 6:00PM, with tip-off of the girls game set for 6:15PM.
