Every year it is a moving patriotic event–watching, or helping area veterans work hand in hand with boy and girl scouts in raising the flags at Knoxville’s Graceland Cemetery. The American Legion and the VFW and our scouts invite the public to come help raise over 200 flags in honor of our veterans. The flags will be raised at 7am on Friday, followed by a brief memorial salute and a free breakfast for all participants following at the VFW.
