It was a good enough start for the Knoxville Softball squad last night in Newton. The first three batters hit safely and the Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead. However the fourth inning did in Knoxville as the Panthers allowed three runs along with committing five errors and the Cardinals won 7-2. Emily Lee got both of Knoxville’s R-B-I last night as the Panthers fall to four-and-seven on the season and two-and-three in conference. Coach Steph Christner even with the tough loss says the girls are starting to show how well they can play. Knoxville travels to the Chariton Invitational today and will play the host school in first round action.
