The Knoxville Football Squad scored early and often; overwhelming an out-manned Saydel team 62-6 last night at Ken Locke Stadium.
The Panthers scored 21 points in the first five minutes of the game and cruised from there, leading 28-0 after one quarter and 55-0 at halftime.
Colton Spaur had by far his best night of the season, rushing for 198 yards on just 12 carries and four touchdowns. Coach Troy Rider said Spaur and the big boys up front did the job.
The Panthers rolled up 428 yards on the ground while limiting the Eagles to just 138 yards total offense, most of that was in mop up time in the fourth quarter.
Knoxville gets its first win of the season and stands at 1-6 and improves to 1-4 in Class 3A District Eight and carries some much needed momentum into a road game with Perry next Friday.
