Knoxville will be hosting their CROP Walk on Sunday, October 30, at 2:30 pm. CROP Walk is a fundraiser that supports both local and global efforts to fight hunger. Helping Hands Food Pantry will receive 25 percent of the funds raised by Knoxville’s CROP Walk. Volunteer Pat Finan says that Helping Hands has increased the number of food bags they give out to 400 every two weeks, which is up nearly 33 percent from last year. The remaining 75 percent will support Church World Service’s efforts to fight hunger. For more information about the walk or how to donate, call Pat Finan at 842-5148.
