Around 40 different schools will descend on Knoxville on Thursday for the Class 1A and 3A District/Regional Cross Country Meet. The meet will be held at Pine Knolls Country Club and Panthers Coach Mike Moats sees this as a big advantage for his team to run on its home course. He adds one of the main reasons Knoxville has been picked to host the past few years is because the meet is so well run. He adds they are still looking for course workers and marshals to keep the meet running smoothly. The number for the high school athletic office is 842-3717. The first race will be the 1A girls at around 3:30, Moats ads fans should get their early to get the best parking.
