Knoxville High School Principal Kevin Crawford says that after one short week, the Apple one-to-one laptop program has been very exciting. Teachers have had their laptops since the beginning of the summer, and students received theirs earlier this month. Crawford says that there are still some kinks to work out, like blocking distractions such as chat and IM functions in class. He adds that the professional development opportunities teachers have received this year have been very helpful. Last week, Pleasantville and Knoxville worked together on a computer-related professional development day.
