The Marion County Historical Society raised $800 for the Red Rock Community Action Program through their Festival of Trees this last weekend. The event featured a silent auction, bake sale, decorated trees, wagon rides, and musical entertainment. The $800 donation will be used by the Red Rock Community Action Program to send Christmas baskets to elderly residents throughout the county. The Historical Society would like to thank the community for visiting the Marion County Historical Village during the two-day event, making the donation possible.

The Daughters of the American Revolution took first place with an American themed Christmas tree. The Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Lab took second place with a tree that had a “The Grinch That Stole Christmas” theme. Stepping Stones took third with a tree that was decorated with gloves and hats that they had collected for children in need. The three winners were selected by which tree collected the most donations in their bucket during the Festival.
