Wins have been hard to find this season for the Pleasantville girls basketball team this season, but a freshman guard has given fans something to be excited about; and will likely do so for the next three seasons.
“Kennedy Core, for a freshman, has stepped up. She’s doing a lot more than I’d really like her to,” said Pleasantville girls head coach Trevor Miller. “I’d like her to play on the wing and get to look to shoot more. She’s had to pick things up with the ball handling, though.”
Core leads the team in scoring at 10.6 points per game, but the entire team will need to make a number of improvements over the break to try and pick themselves up from a 1-8 overall start.
