It may have taken overtime to get it done, but the Pella Christian girls soccer team finds itself now riding a three-game win streak, following Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over Oskaloosa. Bri Warden opened the scoring for the match, putting in a goal midway through the second half. The Indians would counter, though, adding a score of their own and holding on to keep the game tied at 1-1 through regulation. Just three minutes into the overtime period, Pella Christian’s Marissa Ferguson punched the ball through the Indian defense to Warden, who outran Oskaloosa and slipped it past their keeper for the win. The Lady Eagles’ defense was strong again, with all four defensive backs registering 20 stops or more. Behind the strength of their defense, the Pella Christian girls soccer team has given up just 11 goals in the last 9 games.
