The Schwanebeck family and former employees of Village Theater in Knoxville invite residents of Marion County and surrounding communities to a free movie Saturday evening. Carl Schwanebeck owned and operated the Village Theatre for decades before it closed last year. He says the movie, Pay It Forward, was chosen for the message it carries. Schwanebeck says the movie is a thank you from his family for all the times his life has been touched and changed by members of the community. It’s free and begins at 5pm at Crossroads, which just south of Knoxville where Highways 5 and 92 meet. Doors open at 4pm, and there will be free popcorn and pop as well.
