Today’s the last day of “The Firey Trial: Iowa and the Civil War” in Knoxville. The traveling exhibit is located in an air-conditioned trailer in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum parking lot. It’s open from 10am to 6pm today. The exhibit, sponsored by the Knoxville Rotary Club, details Iowa’s involvement in the Civil War using informative graphics and videos. Knoxville native William M. Stone was a Civil War-era governor of Iowa.
