The Pella Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Program held a presentation on wildlife on Tuesday. The theme for the reading program is “Dream Big… Read” and is made up of night themed presentations. This presentation was about nocturnal wildlife at Lake Red Rock. Tracy Spry, a park ranger, gave the presentation to about 20 kids. Kid were encouraged to use their imaginations, and close their eyes and think of nighttime, and they were helped by wildlife sounds. The children’s reading program will continue to hold presentations about night throughout the summer.
