Knoxville Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says the Knoxville School District does a fantastic job on ensuring their vehicles are inspected and kept up to standards. His comments to KNIA/KRLS come amid reports of troubles state-wide with school busses and other school vehicles. Dr. Flack says Knoxville schools are among the best in the state in keeping regular tune-ups. All vehicles, including busses, vans, and others, are inspected twice a year. Last year, Dr. Flack says 25 of their 26 vehicles passed inspections. The issue with the vehicle that didn’t pass was resolved the next day. He adds the school district is thankful for and appreciative of the work done by Chief Mechanic Ned Fee and Director of Maintenance Joe Klootwyk in keeping district vehicles in tip-top shape.
