The Pella City Council met last night and held multiple readings on zoning issues. One of those zoning issues brought some debate from the public. The issue deals with allowing a duplex to be built in a single family zoned area on West 3rd street. Two council members dissented on the first reading of that rezoning ordinance. The council also approved a conduit bond issue for a new senior living community to be built by Hearthstone on the North side of Pella.
