Recent rainfall has pushed us to higher totals than normal for the first time in six months. According to National Weather Service records, the Knoxville/Pella area has received 4.18 inches of rain this month, already an inch and a half more than normal for October. We’ve had three days with more than an inch this month – we had just two such days from April through September.

Projections for the next few months show precipitation well below normal.
