Iowa House and Senate members have received their committee assignments for the 2013 legislative session. In the Senate, Republicans are a minority. Senator Amy Sinclair will be the ranking member of the Local Government committee. Ken Rozenboom will be the ranking member on the Veterans Affairs Committee. In the House, where Republicans are a majority, Guy Vander Linden will chair the state government committee. Greg Heartsill will be the vice chair for the government oversight committee and local government committee. The session starts on January 14.
