The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors recently approved a combined total of nearly $2 million in federal grants to assist 25 agencies across Iowa with homelessness prevention and assistance initiatives during the 2014 calendar year. Crisis Intervention Services of Oskaloosa has received $100,000 to assist with shelters, outreach, prevention, and rapid rehousing in Marion, Mahaska, Jasper and 8 other counties. The purpose of the program is to help Iowans quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness.
