Jake Grandia from the Marion County Auditor’s Office, tells KNIA KRLS News that absentee voting is now open for the upcoming city election on November 5. Grandia says the options for absentee voting are via mail, and coming directly to the courthouse between the hours of 8 and 4:30 Monday – Friday. Absentee voting will be open now through Monday, November 4. Absentee ballots can be requested through November 1, and returned ballots must be postmarked by Monday November 4. To receive an absentee ballot in the mail for city elections, local county auditors must receive the completed absentee ballot request form no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 1.
