A special Ad Hoc committee appointed in June by the Pella Christian High School Executive Committee met with the High School Board last week to discuss their recommendations concerning the possible addition of a 7th and 8th grade wing that would be built onto the existing facility. The committee has recommended two motions. The first is to create a South Central Iowa Christian Schools Long-range Committee, with the purpose of advancing K-12 Christian education in South Central Iowa. The second motion is to move forward with the possible building addition, by bringing it to a vote that will take place on March 6th. Pella Christian High School Principal Darryl DeRuiter says that the reason they scheduled the vote in March, is to allow everyone involved to digest the recently released information, before making a decision that will be best for the entire Pella Christian community.
