The Marion County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. There was discussion of a request by DHS to move from their current location to 104 S 6th Street. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says DHS current contract is up in June, and have indicated the current facility does not meet their needs. Bull and Supervisor Raymie said that DHS may have to look for space outside Knoxville, and the concern is that Case Management services would not be available in Marion County. Supervisor Agan questioned DHS’ dissatisfaction with the current facility, and after discussion, Supervisor Kingery moved to close discussion without action, pending further review of the matter; Agan seconded.
