Enrollment at Pella Christian Grade School is trending upwards according to Principal David DeJong. Over the last decade, total enrollment has increased by 83 students, a 25% boost. DeJong says he attributes this trend to parents believing that the teachers truly love their kids, trusting in the schools mission, and a 250% increase in transfer students over the last few years. DeJong says that 72 students are currently enrolled in the Spanish Immersion program, with six others on a waiting list. Next year he says that 97 students will be in the program, with approximately ten others on the waiting list.
