Knoxville’s City Council met Monday evening. The council heard a reading of a sexual assault awareness month proclamation; had a hearing to discuss board and commission member absences. Council approved a new member to the fire department cadet program, John Mitchell – who happens to be Chief Jim Mitchell’s son. Council also discussed a resolution to approve a 28E agreement between the City of Knoxville, Iowa and Marion County for dispatch and communication services.
