April 6 through 12 is “Week of the Young Child,” in which Knoxville and the rest of the country celebrates young children, and all those who make a difference in childrens’ lives. Pam Mahoney, Director of Stepping Stones Early Learning Center in Knoxville tells KNIA KRLS News that young children are important to our future, and they celebrate by doing fun activities at the center. She says on Wednesday at 10, they’ll get all of the children – from babies to preschool age – out for the statewide stroll. She says they try to do something special each year to recognize young children.
