Knoxville’s second annual June Jamboree drew a crowd this weekend, says Assistant City Manager, Dylan Feik. He says the 5K had a good turnout, as did the 4-team softball tournament. He says the parking lots were full all day and a lot of kids came out and had a good time. He says thanks go out to the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Reed’s Kone Korner, Iowa State Savings Bank and KNX. Feik says grill-master Dick Reed grilled hot dogs, all for a free will donation. He says proceeds will go to additional playground features, roofs on dugouts at the ball fields, and to support other future improvements at the park.
