The driver of the vehicle that hit Pella Christian Grade School told police that her car had a mechanical malfunction that lead to the crash. The driver was pulling into park at the grade school on Wednesday night after 7:30 when she lost control and hit the north side of the building. The vehicle received significant damage exceeding $7000. The building only received superficial damage and no structural problems were found. The driver was transported to Pella Regional on Wednesday after the incident with minor injuries.
