There are no Ebola cases in Marion County. There’s not even any cases in Iowa. But that doesn’t mean Marion County Public Health isn’t preparing for it just in case.

Director Kim Dorn says they’re holding Ebola planning meetings with hospitals and other community partners. She says not planning for Ebola would be “completely irresponsible” on their part, adding they need to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Part of the planning for Ebola includes a review of previous plans and making sure they’re on target will all of their infection control practices.
