Joni Ernst will replace retiring Tom Harkin in the U.S. Senate after defeating Bruce Braley. Representative Dave Loebsack will continue to serve as a U.S. Congressman after defeating Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks. Governor Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds will remain in office for four more years, beating Jack Hatch and Monica Vernon. Branstad is now the nation’s longest serving governor as he enters a 6th term.

Paul Pate will serve as the next Secretary of State, Mary Mosiman will remain State Auditor, Michael L. Fitzgerald is the State Treasurer, and Bill Northey remains as Secretary of Agriculture.
Tom Miller is now the longest continuously serving Attorney General in the United States after defeating Adam Gregg.
