The 13th Annual KNIA/KRLS Marion County Food Drive received a boost Monday with a monetary donation made by the Marion County Farm Bureau.
The $1,000 check presented to KNIA/KRLS General Manager Jim Butler was part of a matching donation program during the campaign. The Marion County Farm Bureau was matching donations up to $500 at the Knoxville HyVee for a pair of food drive events.
The 13th Annual KNIA/KRLS Marion County Food Drive continues with more opportunities to donate later this week. On Thursday, the Little Big Red Radio will be at the Pella HyVee from 2pm to 5pm collecting donations. The Big Red Radio can be found at Carriker’s Auto Outlet in Knoxville on Friday.
There will also be several chances around Marion County on Saturday with donations being collected in Bussey from 10am to noon, at the Knoxville HyVee from 10am to 2pm, and in Pleasantville at the Masonic Lodge for their Soup with Santa/Festival of Trees event from 11am until 2pm. The Big Red Radio and the Little Big Red Radio will be on hand during these events.
