Pleasantville citizens will be able to warm their tummies with Jolly Ole’ Saint Nick during their Soup with Santa and Festival of Trees event going on Saturday.

Several different kinds of soup will be served and kids will be able to visit with Santa and have their picture taken. There will also be a silent auction for the decorated trees and bake sale items will be available.

The Pleasantville Masonic Lodge’s Butch Smith says proceeds they receive from Soup with Santa will go towards equipment for the Pleasantville School District. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees will go towards the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce.

The event is sponsored by the Masonic Lodge, Pleasantville Chamber, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Webb Shadle Memorial Library.

KNIA/KRLS will have the Little Big Red Radio on hand for the event, which will take place at the Masonic Lodge from 11am to 3pm.
