Losing some experienced and talented players from last year’s team, nobody could put a finger on how the PCM boys’ basketball squad would look coming out of the gates in the 2014-15 season. The Mustangs stumbled to a 1 – 2 start, allowing about 65 points per game on defense, and turning the ball over more often than they would like. PCM responded after their loss to Pella Christian with five straight wins, thanks to some sharp shooting and an even sharper defense. Not satisfied with a 6 – 2 mark, Coach Fred Lorensen says despite the question marks in the early going, his team has gotten better and they need to continue to do so. The Mustangs are back to business on Tuesday when they host Nevada for game number nine.
