A Pella man faces a felony charge for allegedly having a large quantity of a chemical commonly used to make meth.
Forty-five year old Timothy Joe Gates was arrested by Pella Police on a Marion County warrant Tuesday. According to court documents, Gates was identified by an informant who told officers that Gates had purchased and provided pseudoephedrine to manufacture meth. According to police, Gates was seen on video purchasing the over-the-counter drug, and then getting into a car with the informant after each visit. He faces a controlled substance violation, a class B felony. His bond was set at $50,000.
