The Class 3A state boys’ basketball tournament will be a new breed of cat for every player that will step onto the hardwood wearing a Pella High uniform this Tuesday. Much like their preparations for Monday’s substate final with Norwalk, Coach Mark Core says the only difference in their routine is the amount of time between games. The Little Dutch will play Cedar Rapids Xavier in the first round of the tournament in the late game on Tuesday. The Saints feature four players that average at least ten points per game and play in a comparable league to the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Class 3A quarterfinal will tip-off at approximately 8:15 p.m., and can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
