Congressman Dave Loebsack met with local elected and economic development officials in Knoxville Friday to discuss efforts to expand access to broadband internet in rural areas.

Loebsack was recently named to the Communications and Technology Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over broadband issues. He believes involvement is needed by public and private companies to help improve the broadband infrastructure.
