Top math students from Pella and Pella Christian High School participated in the annual Little Hawkeye Conference math competition at Central College Wednesday.
Students first tested individually and then convened into teams separated by school and grade. Seniors Tom Pettit and Hannah Smart, who have competed all four years they’ve been eligible, earned individual honors in the 12th grade division. Both say they enjoy mathematics and the competitive environment.
Pella High earned 2nd place overall and 1st place in the freshmen and senior classes, and Pella Christian earned 2nd place in the junior class.
