The Pella School Board reviewed numerous facility upgrades at their meeting this week.
The board named Estes Construction as project supervisor for a new drop-off lane at Jefferson Intermediate. They also reviewed and approved plans for $145,000 of work to the high school auditorium and $250,000 to assist the Pella Athletic Boosters with more than $1 million of improvements to the team rooms at the football field. Plans for playground upgrades at Lincoln and Madison elementary schools were also discussed. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says they intend to complete all of these projects by the first day of classes in August.
