One of the most exciting plays in baseball highlighted Pleasantville’s 10 – 1 win over Twin Cedars on Wednesday night. Freshman Andi Sowers hit an inside-the-park home run to help fuel her team to victory. The Trojan pitching staff held the Sabers to just four hits on the night. Mackenzie Sedlock, Twin Cedars’ starting pitcher, had the lone RBI, and she gave up six runs in five innings pitched. The Sabers drop to 3 – 7, and after starting the season 0 – 4, Pleasantville has now won three straight to move to 3 – 4. They’ll try to play I-35 tonight, while Twin Cedars plays at Diagonal tomorrow night.
