The Knoxville Lion’s Club is ready to honor Flag Day with their traditional Avenue of Flags along Highway 14.

Organizer Ladd Montegna says this time they’ll have more flags than ever. He says they’ll be putting up 800 flags along both sides of Highway 14. Lion’s Club members will begin putting up the flags Saturday morning.
Flag Day is one of five times each year the Knoxville Lion’s Club does the Avenue of Flags.
The Knoxville Lion’s Club is looking for donations to help with their organization’s activities. Donations can be accepted by any local Lion’s Club member or mail to The Knoxville Lion’s Club, 505 W Rock Island, Knoxville, 50138.
