central organic garden

There have been some big changes to the Central College Organic Garden this summer.

Coordinator of Sustainability Education Giselle Bruskewitz (BRUSK-uh-whitz) says a few buildings were torn down after classes concluded and have been replaced with space for more planting. She says there are plans to expand more in the future on the plot located at the corner of Peace Street and West 4th Street. Director of Sustainability Brian Campbell says the garden is used by dining services for local ingredients and by faculty for various research projects, and is a large educational component of their programs. We have more about sustainability at Central College on In-Depth with Dr. Bob Leonard.
