The Pella High School baseball stadium was packed with hundreds of fans last night, all of which were able to witness the Little Dutch earn their second ever trip to the state baseball tournament on Wednesday.
Pella High beat Oskaloosa 7-4 in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS. Senior Marcus Wittmer said the atmosphere was special, and it was great for him to see the community come out with that much support.
“It’s amazing because seeing the Pella community come to all the football games and to the state games, and seeing them come out to see this big baseball game–it’s really, really humbling and shows all the hard work paid off,” Wittmer told KNIA/KRLS News after the game.
The Little Dutch will play conference rival Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday, July 28th at 7:30 p.m. We will have all Pella State Tournament games on 92.1 KRLS.
