Shaking a bit of early miscommunication, the Pella Christian volleyball team hung tough with No. 5-ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, but came up a bit short, losing in four sets, 12 – 25, 25 – 18, 14 – 25, and 20 – 25. The Eagles were neck-and-neck with the Rockets in the deciding game, but had five service errors to steer the momentum back into Eddyville’s side of the gym. Andrea Horstman had 11 kills, and her younger sister, Bekah Horstman, came up with seven. Andrea also served up three aces for the now 0 – 6 Eagles, and they’ll take the weekend off to prepare for Newton this Tuesday to begin their conference schedule.
