After playing what amounts to an N-B-A type schedule with five games in eight days and going 4-1 in that stretch, the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad got a couple days rest and prepare for Eddyville-Blakebsurg. This is a must win for the girls if they are to stay in contention for at least a share of the South Central Conference title this season. Assistant Coach Troy Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls are looking forward to the match up. The girls’ only loss in the conference was an 18 point set back to the Rockets back in December. With the conference title off the table for the boys following their loss in overtime to Chariton on Saturday…the focus now turns to finishing out the South Central Conference schedule. Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the guys needs to be ready for an improving Eddyville team. The Panthers beat the Rockets by ten in the teams’ last meeting. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA starting with the pre-game show at 6:15.
