The Marion County Republican Convention will be held Saturday, March 12 at Madison Elementary School in Pella.

Doors open for credentialing at 8:30 am, with the convention starting at 9 am. Candidates for county, state, and national offices will be speaking to those in attendance throughout the morning. The County Convention Delegates will vote on planks submitted for the County Platform and for 33 delegates and 33 alternates to attend the District Convention in Ottumwa on April 9th.

Republican Chair T Waldmann-Williams extends an invitation to area students in the 7th Grade up to 17 years old to attend the Convention as Jr. Delegates to gain experience in parliamentary procedure and the shaping of a political party platform. In addition, others from the community that wish to observe the process are welcome to attend.
