A hair less than half of the Pella Christian girls’ track and field team is made up of freshmen in 2016. Many of the girls have played in other sports this year, while all of them were the upperclassmen of their middle school track teams last year. Coach Keith Anderson feels the ninth-graders will instantly contribute to the varsity team this season, and that their biggest adjustment will be to become acclimated to the high school competition as soon as they can. Pella Christian’s first meet of the season is this Tuesday on the road at the Lakeview Athletic Complex to take on Albia, Chariton, PCM, and Centerville.
