The Pella School Board approved a wide range of agreements in preparation for next academic year at their meeting this week.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says salary and benefits agreements for non-teaching staff were approved.

“That would be our teacher associates, custodians, administrative assistants, food service workers, maintenance staff, bus drivers, tech staff, and nurses,” Ebeling says. “So that’s a lot of different people we are sending out work agreements for, so we set that hourly wage — that was set at a total package increase of around three percent.”

School administration received a similar package increase.

The board also reviewed the applications for two new foreign exchange students, a conditioning agreement with William Penn, and made tweaks to the math portion of graduation requirements to allow for more scheduling flexibility.
